Rainwater Management

If we want to preserve drinking water for consumption, the search for an alternative source has begun.

Drinking water for livestock, cooling water, rinse water for cleaning tanks, washing water for toilets... these are just a few examples of where another source can be used. Think, for example, of surface water, to a lesser extent groundwater, but also rainwater and the permeate from reuse installations. There are even projects that aim to recycle water from liquid manure and plant juices.

Case study

Economical impact

Finding another source of water naturally leads to less use of paid tap water. But above all, it can guarantee the security of water supply. If this is accompanied by purification of the incoming flow (or recycled flow), the quality can also be guaranteed.

Groundwater is sometimes still used as a source. Our experience with customers shows that pumping quantities are becoming increasingly strict and their usefulness must be demonstrated by means of a study.

This is why users of groundwater and tap water are looking to implement rainwater and water reuse. Rainwater sharing and water reuse are therefore often incentivised by governments.

Ecological & Social Impact

Drinking water is essential for life. It is therefore important that we reserve drinking water for drinking purposes and look for other sources of water for other uses.

Pumping water lowers the water table, which is detrimental to many plants. Contributing to good water management and making balanced and smart use of all kinds of water sources is necessary for plants, animals and humans.

Finally, by involving Water Experts, you can also indirectly support a good cause. We put 10% of our profits into a fund to provide drinking water in places where they do not have the resources. See WaterHeroes.
