Maarten is the Managing Director of Water Experts and answers all your water-related questions. Together with his team of engineers, they tackle all complex water challenges, offering quality advice and tailor-made deliverables to arrive at the best possible solution. Maarten oversees sales and communication with partners and customers, and is also responsible for the organisation of the company. He does this with commitment, honesty, integrity, respect and enthusiasm.

He graduated as a graduate in environmental chemistry and started his career as a science teacher. During that time, he was also able to study industrial chemical engineering. After 15 years of teaching, he switched to selling laboratory equipment. He specialises in instrumental chemistry. Occasionally, he is invited to lecture on these topics at Ghent University. Since 2025, he leads Water Experts, is a member of federations and participates in numerous events and exhibitions.

He has extensive experience in applied sciences and a network in universities, the (petro)chemical industry, test laboratories and pharmaceutical companies. Over the years, he has also acquired skills in sales and human relations.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing volleyball, appreciates the taste of a good Bordeaux red wine and spending time in the Dordogne region of France.
